Corporation MYL is a group of Ecuadorian companies that began in 1976. On May of that year, Manuel Mejía Dalmau, present President of the group, founded with the Homero brothers and Fernando Leon Busts the company MYL Cia. Ltda. on the city of River basin; MYL summarized the last names of their founders: Mejía and Leon.

The company was dedicated to the quality leather article preparation, supply very limited in that then due to prohibiciónes of import and to the bad quality of the crafts of that time. Almost immediately, Manuel Mejía acquired the totality of the MYL actions and returned to its native, Exempt city, from where it continued with the objectives initially proposed.

The first steps were not easy; the market was not ready to recognize the product presence that although of good quality had prices that the public was not customary to disburse.

The opening of the own premises of sale, originally decorated, next to the persistence in the quality of the preparation, incorporation of novel materials and a model inspired by the best European manufacturers, allowed to the insertion in the market and the consolidation of mark MYL like a quality product and good pleasure.

The leather product commercialization, like alternative of flattery of the companies per Christmas, took us to the market of the agendas, in whose insertion and use also we were pioneering in the country.

This line, as well, approached us the one of legal publications, particularly by our bond with Legis of Colombia, company that provided the agendas to us and had a very important trajectory in the legal work impression.

Thus it was born Legal Editions, in 1985, with the most valuable presence of the Dr Ernesto Albán Gómez, founder, partner and first editor of works.
The first regime that published Legal Editions was the Ecuadorian Penal Regime, specialty of Ernesto in its trajectory of academic lawyer and.
